The Steinberger-designed Capo That's Fit for the Future

Attach the D'Addario NS Artist Capo to any 6-string guitar, and you'll benefit from buzz-free, in-tune performance — even on your instruments with radiused fingerboards. Drawing upon the design expertise of Ned Steinberger, the NS Artist Capo mounts from the front to keep your sound pristine. Its aluminum construction is lightweight yet durable; additionally, a patented trigger design ensures use is easy on the hands. Further, the NS Artist Capo leverages direct horizontal pressure that compresses each string individually, effectively eliminating lateral string pull and the need to check tunings after placement. An onboard micrometer tension mechanism allows for fine-tuned adjustments as needed and keeps tension even across each string, regardless of neck profile, string gauges, and other variables. Lastly, the NS Artist Capo from Sweetwater includes a built-in holder for guitar picks and a mounting bracket fitted for the NS Micro Headstock Tuner (sold separately).

D'Addario NS Artist Capo Features:

  • Designed for 6-string electric and acoustic guitars with radiused fingerboards
  • Mounts from the front for a more precise placement and fit
  • Durable aircraft-grade aluminum construction
  • Micrometer tension adjustment assures buzz-free, in-tune performance at every fret
  • Smooth single-hand operation; can clamp to the headstock when not in use
  • Built-in pick holder
  • Included mounting bracket for the NS Micro Headstock Tuner (sold separately)

Capo at a reasonable price

Had two D'Addario NS Capo Lite - Adjustable Tension, Black. (PW-CP-07)
one did not work at all one was fair when you screwed it down with force.
Both had metal pins fall out."they were" poop for a better word.
The working capo broke apart.

The NA Artist Capo-Adjustable tension (PW-CP-10) is way better as adjusts really fast, and is quicker to
install, allows the strings to stay in tune and not vibrate. Stays of of the way of your thumb+++++,
So far seems good, so I got a second one.
The (PW-CP-10) is good but could be better with a single change!

Fantastic capo!!

My acoustic guitar never goes out of tune when using this capo. Fast and easy to use. Genius design.

Good Capo

The adjustable tension makes this capo a big improvement on my existing capo. The non-adjustable one was like the jaws of death strength when it clamped down. The design also seems to be more out of my hands way. Forget spending a fortune on a capo, this one works great.

The Best Capo

I have had this capo for months now and it is by far the best for ease of use and for preventing the guitar from going out of tune. I have tried it on several guitars and can honestly say it is clearly the best. I will not tell you what capos I have used previously because at the end of the day it really doesn't matter. Suffice it to say this capo is the best; period, end of story. Buy it and see for yourself.

Yes, It's a Good One!

I bought my NS Artist a couple of years ago and really didn't use it much, thus thought it was "Okay." More recently though I've been using it much more and must say this is a great capo. The biggest issue I had with previous capos was the problem of them being either too tight or too loose without any fine adjustment. As the promotional video claims, this capo can be "fine tuned" to apply just the right amount of pressure ensuring that your strings stay tuned. For as good as my pitch is I never have to retune after mounting this capo. As far as tension adjustment goes, I Keep the adjustment nut almost all the way to the loosest setting without fret buzz. This setting is as easy to adjust as tuning one of your strings, just loosen the nut until the strings start to buzz then tighten it back down just a smidgen. If I had any complaint at all it would be that my big hands sometimes cause me to have to adjust the capo position about a quarter of an inch behind the fret so I can make a B7 chord. I wouldn't call this a big problem unless you have big hands like me.
